Quranic Message

We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an, in order that ye may learn wisdom. (Yusuf:2)

Quran was revealed in Classical Arabic language. The Arabic language has its own culture, slangs, eloquence, and poetic manners which when translated into a language such as English, having an entirely different culture and slangs, many of times distorts/confuses the actual intended meanings. Quranic verses were revealed on various events during the life of prophet(peace be upon him) but were not preserved in chronological order and instead every such verse was revealed with its corresponding positioning in the finally compiled book. It is not necessary that a single Quranic verse exaplains everything that Allah(SWT) demands from us humans. Many of times there are other verses at various places within Quran that expand the meanings of a given command. Also, the popular sunnah (the practice of prophet passed to us via masses) along with authentic hadeeths that describe the overall attitude of prophet(peace be upon him) during his entire life also provides us an expanded meaning of these verses.

The west of today is quite different from how the world knew it during its dark ages. The changes that we witness happend only in the last couple of centuries. God has given us humans two visions:

- First the basic intellect and knowledge of material world and
- Second the divine guidance to keep us on straight path of God.

The success of a human being in this temporary world as well as in the hereafter is dependant on the combination of those two visions/knowledge. What west has done is that they have totally closed their eye for the divine guidance and rather used their other eye to seek material knowledge. As a result they have achieved their present wordly status at the expense of immorality in their society and their total loss in the hereafter. What muslims have recently done in general is that they have closed the other eye that would have helped them to explore and exploit the material world inaddition to parting away from the actual divine guidance to a large extent otherwise the combination of both would have led them to the success in this world and more importantly in the hereafter. They still, however, have the true divine guidance with them and its just a matter of time before they collectively realize their mistake and reform themselves to the status that was expected from them by Allah Almighty.

Islam is destined to prevail, the question is how many among us would like to be the part of that success.
